Pharmaceutical industry in strategic developmentDragan Kesič, 2011, original scientific article Abstract: World pharmaceutical industry has been changing profoundly as it has been steadily concentrating and consolidating in the last decade. According to our survey, we may underline the intensive marketing management represents an extremely important operational and even strategic function for proper business performance and long-term strategic orientation for the world pharmaceutical companies. We may even conclude that intensive consolidation of world pharmaceutical industry is a market driven and conditioned by strategic marketing management issues. We may estimate that marketing management is to play even more important and especially the highest top priority strategic role in the future globalization and consolidation processes of world pharmaceutical industry.

5. Globalization influences strategic changes and movementsDragan Kesič, 2012, original scientific article Abstract: The aim of this paper is to evaluate and present the development of world pharmaceutical industry in the last several years. According to our research, we may emphasize that this industrial sector has been strategically changing and has been steadily concentrating and consolidating in the last decade. We may underline that intensive consolidation of world pharmaceutical industry is quite a complex process, having been driven by several factors and conditioned mostly by some defines strategic issues. We may conclude that further globalization, concentration and consolidation processes of world pharmaceutical industry are to be foreseen.
