3. A novel device to preserve physical activities of daily living in healthy older peopleWolfram Haslinger, Lisa Müller, Nejc Šarabon, Christian Raschner, Helmut Kern, Stefan Loefler, 2015, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Objective: To determine the effectiveness of exercise in improving sensorimotor function and functional performance as crucial part of activities of daily living in healthy older adults. Design: RCT. Setting: Laboratory. Participants: 39 subjects (M = 71.8 years, range: 61%89 years). Intervention: Task oriented visual feedback balance training. Primary outcome measure: Timed up & go (TUG). Secondary outcome measures: Chair stand test (CST), self-paced walk test, maximum isometric torque, quiet stand posturography and dynamic balance (DB). Results: Post intervention comparison of the treatment group (TG) and control group (CG) showed better TUG (p < .01), CST (p < .001) and DB (p < .025) for the TG. Pre%post intervention comparison of the TG showed better clinically relevant outcomes in TUG (p < .001), CST (p < .001) and DB (p < .001). Conclusion: Active driven visual feedback balance training is effective in improving functional performance and dynamic balance in older adults. 6. Population ageing and labour market in Slovenia and European UnionTomaž Kofalt, Žiga Čepar, 2015, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: In this paper we investigate the influence and importance of population ageing for labour market. Particularly we focus on unemployment, salaries and population education level. After reviewing some of the previous research on the influence of demographic ageing on labour market, we set three hypotheses, referring to the three above mentioned specific aspects of labour market, which were tested using multivariate regression analysis. Based on demographic and socio-economic panel data on Slovenian municipalities, we separately tested the three hypotheses in case of Slovenia; and using panel data on European Union countries we separately tested the three hypotheses in case of European Union and compared the results. Based on data for Slovenia and European Union we found out that population ageing increases unemployment and decreases population education level, however in case of analysis of salaries the results are somehow ambiguous. 7. Impact of population ageing on education level and average monthly salary : The Case of SloveniaŽiga Čepar, Marjetka Troha, 2015, izvirni znanstveni članek Opis: Population ageing is a contemporary problem, which does not only mean changing demographic structures, but also affects economy. Based on our research we cannot reject our main research thesis that population ageing has a significant impact on human capital in Slovenia. Using multiple regression analysis, on cross-section data of Slovenian municipalities, we cannot reject our first hypothesis that population ageing in Slovenia leads to lower education level and our second hypothesis that population ageing leads to lower average net monthly salary. Main contribution of this research therefore is the finding and empirical confirmation of the specific impact that population ageing has on human capital based on specific case of Slovenian cross section data. Results of the research imply that some measures have to take place in order to mitigate the unfavourable effects of population ageing on human capital.
