Abstract:Samomor je velik družbeni in javno-zdravstveni problem.

Abstract:Suicide is one of the biggest social and public-health issues. Suicide survivors carry the most direct consequences after the death. Understanding their experiences, bereavement and the process of reintegration is the main topic of the thesis. /// The study is based on qualitative research principles. We analysed sixteen semi-structured in-depth interviews with suicide survivors, who differed in the demographic data, their relationship with the deceased, time since death and coping with the experience. The average length of the interview was 113 minutes. According to the grounded theory principles we analysed the data with initial, focused and axial coding. /// The study provides a holistic understanding of bereavement and reintegration after suicide and gives implications for the interventions for them. The use of grounded theory is an original methodological contribution in how to study complex phenomena.
