Abstract:	The aim of this paper is to evaluate and present the development of world pharmaceutical industry in the last several years. According to our research, we may emphasize that this industrial sector has been strategically changing and has been steadily concentrating and consolidating in the last decade. We may underline that intensive consolidation of world pharmaceutical industry is quite a complex process, having been driven by several factors and conditioned mostly by some defines strategic issues. We may conclude that further globalization, concentration and consolidation processes of world pharmaceutical industry are to be foreseen.
