Abstract:Measures taken at the family and local community levels play a key role in the prevention of tobacco and alcohol use. With this in mind, we present prevention activities conducted in the Logatec Health Centre. The study reviews the results of specific tobacco and alcohol use prevention activities carried out during the past three years. They show that all Health Centre services have participated, at least to some extent, in the activities carriedout in child and schoolchildren clinics, family practice clinics, within the CINDI prevention programme, in special programmes for general population and in activities designed especially for patients of the Centre for Illicit Drug Abuse Prevention and Therapy.
