Prosthetic memory and film-induced dark tourism in the specific post-conflict context : a divergent young adults’ perspective
Metod Šuligoj, Jasna Hartman, 2026, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: The present postmodernist study explores how widely accessible films depicting tragic historical sites/events influence prosthetic memories and film-induced dark tourism among Western Balkan (the ‘region of memory’) young adult new-age platform users with no personal war experience. A heterogeneous list of ten internation - ally known historical films, compiled with the help of informants, was the basis for discussion in three nationally diverse focus groups (Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian- Herzegovinian) and then compared with a comparison group from a less stressed environment. The results of the content analysis with triangulation are discussed, and explaining the missing prosthetic memory, factual knowledge and film-induced dark tourism nexus among young adults in a peculiarly toxic post-conflict atmosphere. The study thus identifies historical film and dark tourism abstainers and explains deviations not pre - viously reported in studies of the above concepts, taking into account the specific social environment and age group.

Collective memory and social identity : a social psychological exploration of the memories of the disintegration of former Yugoslavia
Marja Kuzmanić, 2008, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: Through narration of memories of events related to the disintegration of Yugoslavia, this study takes a social psychological approach and explores the generational and ethnic group differences in collective memories, social representations and social identities of peoples living in Slovenia. It represents an initial step at mapping out the differing collective memories, representations and identities of Slovenians and other former Yugoslav peoples now resident in Slovenia in relation to some of the major recent historical and political events (Tito's death, the wars in Slovenia, Bosnia and Croatia, the beginning of the war(s), and the attainment of independence of Slovenia). Eighteen semi-structured interviews with members of three ethnic communities (Bosniac and Serb minority and Slovenian majority) were conducted and are qualitatively analysed. The findings are discussed in two sections. The first illustrates the contested interpretations of the break up of the federation, whereas the second section discusses the complex changes inidentification that occurred during the transition in the Slovenian context. Above all, the material reveals that contested narratives of the breakup of Yugoslavia (the narratives of 'transition', 'disintegration' and 'war') are present.

The shape memory effect in systems Cu-based alloys
Jožica Bezjak, 2013, izvirni znanstveni članek

Opis: 330a The aim of this work was to analyse the mechanisms of hindered internal passivation of silver based alloys which was obtained by the modification of basic chemical composition. A generalisation of the phenomenon, experimental verification and the estimated range of micro-element concentration is also introduced. The ability for inoculation of a particular alloy is determined by the differences between the formation energies of oxides, as well as their crystallographic similarity. Therefore, for the investigated Ag-Zn alloys, Mg was selected as the micro-alloying element. The influence of 0.001 up to 0.5 mass % of Mg added to the selected alloys was analysed. By changing the chemical composition, internal passivation was hindered, internal oxidation rate was increased, and considerably greater (redoubled) depths of internal oxidation were achieved.
