Abstract:Prispevek obravnava vključevanje digitalnih kompetenc in kompetenc za trajnostnost v visokošolski pedagoški proces na podlagi konkretnih primerov izvedbe pri šestih didaktičnih predmetih na Univerzi v Mariboru v okviru pilotnega projekta Posodobitev pedagoških študijskih programov - Posodobitev PŠP NOO. V ospredju je uporaba sodobnih digitalnih orodij, kot so simulacije, interaktivne vsebine spletne učilnice in obogatena resničnost, ki študentom omogočajo eksperimentiranje, vizualizacijo ter ustvarjalno reševanje avtentičnih problemskih situacij. Poseben poudarek je namenjen vključevanju vsebin, povezanih z izzivi trajnostnosti, kot so podnebne spremembe, učinkovita raba virov, energetska pismenost in digitalna etika. Tovrsten pristop spodbuja razvoj prečnih kompetenc, med drugim sistemskega mišljenja, kritične presoje informacij ter odgovorne in ustvarjalne uporabe digitalnih tehnologij. Na podlagi primerov iz didaktike fizike, kemije, matematike, tehnike, računalništva in biologije prispevek predstavlja različne poučevalne strategije, kot so projektno učenje, analiza realnih podatkov, uporaba obogatene resničnosti ter izvedba tandemskih učnih ur v sodelovanju s šolami. Refleksije študentov kažejo visoko angažiranost in hkrati potrebo po dodatni podpori pri razvoju digitalno-pedagoških zmožnosti. Ključna je vloga visokošolskih učiteljev pri spodbujanju povezovanja digitalnih kompetenc in kompetenc za trajnostnost kot temelja sodobnega poučevanja. Vizija učitelja prihodnosti presega zgolj obvladovanje tehnologije - vključuje povezovanje znanja, vrednot in didaktičnih pristopov za spodbujanje aktivnega, odgovornega in vključujočega učenja, usmerjenega v uresničevanje trajnostnosti. Prispevek se zaključi s priporočili za razvoj učiteljskih kompetenc, vključevanje kompetenčnih pristopov v učne načrte ter krepitev institucionalne podpore. Digitalne kompetence in kompetence za trajnostnost predstavljajo nujen temelj sodobne pedagoške prakse ter ključ za uspešno soočanje s prihodnjimi izzivi izobraževanja.

Title:Integrating digital and sustainability competences into the educational process
Abstract:This paper examines the integration of digital competences and competences for sustainability into higher education teaching practices, based on concrete examples of implementation in six didactic subjects at the University of Maribor within the pilot project Modernisation of Teacher Education Study Programmes - PŠP NOO. The focus is on the use of contemporary digital tools such as simulations, interactive content, online learning environments, and augmented reality, which enable students to experiment, visualise, and creatively address authentic problem-based tasks. Special attention is given to the inclusion of content related to sustainability challenges, such as climate change, efficient use of resources, energy literacy, and digital ethics. This approach fosters the development of transversal competences, including systems thinking, critical evaluation of information, and the responsible and creative use of digital technologies. Drawing on examples from the didactics of physics, chemistry, mathematics, technology, computer science, and biology, the paper presents diverse teaching strategies, including project-based learning, real-data analysis, the use of augmented reality, and tandem classroom implementation in cooperation with schools. Student reflections show a high level of engagement, as well as the need for additional support in developing digital-pedagogical skills. The role of higher education teachers is crucial in promoting the integration of digital competences and competences for sustainability as a foundation for future teaching. The vision of the teacher of the future goes beyond technological proficiency and entails integrating knowledge, values, and pedagogical approaches to foster active, responsible, and inclusive learning aimed at achieving sustainability. The paper concludes with recommendations for teacher training, the inclusion of competence-oriented approaches in curricula, and the strengthening of institutional support. Digital competences and competences for sustainability are essential foundations of modern pedagogical practice and a key to addressing future educational challenges.
