Title:Možnosti uporabe generativne umetne inteligence pri otrocih s posebnimi potrebami

Abstract:Članek po posameznih skupinah otrok s posebnimi potrebami (PP) predstavlja primere področij, kjer je generativna umetna inteligenca (GUI) lahko zanje koristna v smislu napredka in razvoja. Ker je tematika v Sloveniji še relativno neraziskana, smo se oprli na primere tujih avtorjev, ki opisujejo potencial uporabe GUI za premagovanje primanjkljajev ali ovir pri osebah s PP različnih starosti in v raznovrstnih socialnih kontekstih. GUI jim lahko pomaga predvsem na področjih, ki so zanje še posebej zahtevna; npr. ustvarja urnike, predlaga aktivnosti za boljše počutje, podaja modne nasvete, pretvarja besedilo ali govor v znakovni jezik in obratno, izboljšuje možnosti sodelovanja na digitalnih platformah, ustvarja učne kartice za urjenje fonološkega zavedanja, simulira komunikacijo. Osebe s PP lahko s pomočjo GUI izboljšajo svojo samostojnost, socialno vključenost, avtonomijo, enakopravnost in bolje izkoristijo svoja močna področja. Pri tem obstajajo določena tveganja uporabe, saj so lahko orodja GUI pristranska, nezadostno natančna ali nezanesljiva; vprašljiva je tudi zasebnost in varnost vnesenih podatkov. Prispevek z obravnavo koristi in tveganj uporabe GUI pri osebah s PP daje razmisleke o tem, kam usmeriti tehnološke in vzgojno-izobraževalne rešitve, da bi jim lahko bila v prihodnosti GUI v čim učinkovitejšo podporo.

Title:Possibilities of using generative artificial intelligence for children with special needs
Abstract:The purpose of this chapter is to describe the connections between social and emotional learning and artificial intelligence literacy in higher education, with a focus on opportunities to improve pedagogical practices. Social and emotional learning includes self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making in educational contexts. Generative artificial intelligence offers opportunities for personalized teaching, but its use requires specific knowledge and caution due to ethical challenges and risks related to privacy and bias. This chapter provides an overview of insights into the use of artificial intelligence to enhance social and emotional competencies. In the context of emerging social generative artificial intelligence, we explore the possibilities of using chatbots, intelligent tutoring systems, and social robots, which enable personalization, social support, and simulations of social skills. We emphasize the need for a comprehensive strategy and collaboration among teachers, technology developers, and policymakers to create a safe and effective learning environment that promotes critical thinking and responsible use of AI in education.
