Abstract:Družbene inovacije, katerih bistvo so zadovoljitev potreb, odnosi in opolnomočenje, ustvarjajo ljudje za ljudi.

Title:Innovative Communities as Carriers of Social Innovation : The Case of the Heart Mentoring Community and the Go & Grow Platform
Abstract:Social innovations, whose essence are meeting the needs, relationships and empowerment, are created by people for people. They focus on the needs and development of individuals and promote changes in their thinking, actions and interpersonal relationships. Instead of reacting, they strengthen proactivity and the ability to actively solve their own and community challenges. Individuals, as a source of innovation, are the initiators of the creation of innovative communities, whose strength is based on the innovation potential of their members and inclusive co-creation that transcends generational, cultural and other diversities. These are communities that are capable of introducing changes, building a space of trust and, through their own example and influence, promoting connectivity and cooperation in the wider environment. The article presents the Heart Mentoring Community and the Go & Grow Platform, as examples of innovative communities aimed at raising awareness among individuals, consciously transferring knowledge and experience, developing competencies, acquiring new and upgrading existing skills, and nurturing fundamental human values and authentic relationships. Both examples show how it is possible to build on mutual growth and collaboration that goes beyond the declarative level.
Keywords:social innovation, innovative communities, individuals empowerment, co-creation, knowledge transfer
