Abstract:Motivacija za inoviranje predstavlja eno temeljnih, a pogosto spregledanih predpostavk vsake inovacije.

Title:Understanding Innovation Through the Lens of Motivation : Psychological, Organizational, and Legal Perspectives
Abstract:Motivation to innovate is one of the fundamental, but often overlooked elements of innovativeness. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to present the findings on motivation to innovate and to answer the question about the role of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in promoting innovation behavior of individuals and how is it influenced by the organizational and regulatory environment. In doing so, we started from the fact that innovation cannot be understood solely as the result of individual creativity, but as a phenomenon that arises at the intersection of motivational, organizational and institutional factors. In order to achieve the purpose of our research idea, we examined the relevant literature in the field of motivational, organizational and legal aspects of innovation. On this basis, we identified key concepts and empirical findings that explain motivation to innovate, and came to conclusions about which are the key factors that influence motivation to innovate and how they are interconnected. We found that the mere motivation of an individual to innovate does not necessarily lead to actual innovation activity in organizations. Although intrinsic motivation acts as a key trigger for innovative behavior and represents a fundamental condition for the emergence of innovative ideas, these can only be developed and realized in an appropriate organizational environment and with the support of a clear and encouraging legal framework. Our contribution thus goes beyond narrow, one-dimensional approaches to understanding and promoting innovation and opens up possibilities for further research into the connections between motivation, organizational environment and institutional factors.
Keywords:innovative behavior, innovation motivation, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, organizational environment, legal framework for innovation
