Abstract:	Poglavje obravnava uporabo evropskih standardov za medkulturno poučevanje jezikov pri začetnem pouku slovenščine za rusko govoreče učence. Na podlagi raziskav med rusko govorečimi priseljenci (299 anketirancev) in slovenskimi udeleženci (105 anketirancev) opredeljuje področja možnih kulturnih konfliktov. Prispevek obenem predlaga dvokulturni model njihove sistematične obravnave pri pouku, kar predstavlja njegovo osrednjo inovativno vrednost.

Title:	Bridging cultures
Abstract:	The chapter examines the application of European standards for intercultural language teaching in introductory Slovene courses for Russian-speaking learners. Based on studies involving Russian-speaking immigrants (299 respondents) and Slovenian participants (105 respondents), it identifies areas of potential cultural conflict. It also proposes a bicultural model for addressing these conflicts systematically in language teaching, which constitutes the chapter’s main innovative contribution.
